Cape Coral & Location of our Home

Things to do and Tips:

Actually, you don't even have to leave our Villa Turtleview to enjoy a wonderful holiday.

But the beaches are sure to tempt... the small beach at the southern end of Cape Coral (at the Yacht Club Public Beach) can be reached in fifteen minutes, and the long dream beaches on Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach take a good half hour.

Great restaurants are within minutes, for even more vibes head to the Marina (Tarpon Point) or Downtown Historic District in Fort Myers.

The Sunsplash Family Waterpark is also only a few minutes away.

For golfers there is a huge selection of golf courses. One is right around the corner from us.

For those who love to shop, there are countless shopping centers and outlet stores in Cape Coral and Ft. Myers.

Our holiday home is also an ideal starting point to experience Florida and its countless attractions:

For nature lovers and beach goers/sun worshipers there are numerous dream beaches and nature reserves, such as the Everglades.

For recreational heroes and families with children, the theme parks around Orlando are the ultimate paradise.

There is great Caribbean flair on the Keys with the highlight Key West.

Information about Cape Coral:

Cape Coral is located in Lee County in the US state of Florida. With approximately 185,000 inhabitants, it is the largest city in the county. Incidentally, the urban area has a size of about 115 square miles. Cape Coral is also the second largest city in Florida by area and is referred to as the Venice of Florida because it is criss-crossed with numerous canals that ultimately add up to an overall length of around 400 miles. These can be explored in the fresh water canals by kayak, paddle boat or pedal boat, and be navigated in the salt water canals with motor and sailing boats. Our property management also rents out or brokers boats.

The climate is mostly mild and warm, but mostly with a light steady wind from the sea. The highest temperatures are from June to October, with up to mid 90ies F on average. In the months from December to February, the temperature can drop to mid 70ies F, and it is therefore pleasantly cool at night.
